Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the structure and soil types in the Baralt municipality (Zulia state), considering the risks in the area and the potential for development in the zone. The theory is limited to soil science, climatology and sustainable agricultural development, was quali-quantitative methodology with a descriptive study with field mode. The results show that land use is inappropriate because the soils suitable for agriculture plant are used in cattle breeding extensive type, the type of agriculture is predominantly traditional, on the other hand, producers have preferences for individual exploitation of its units production, but require financial and technical assistance to build an economy based on the strengths and potential of agricultural soil in Baralt municipality.
