The Hidden Role of Women in the Course of History of Venezuela

Abstract

This paper takes as reference the hidden role that has had the female figure in the course of the history of Venezuela. For this reason, it is to analyze its participation over time. In the historical aspect highlights the participation of a group of women who dedicated themselves to fight for the emancipation of the country. Meanwhile, in the social field women has been classified as a wife and mother, hidden leaving skills also capabilities that these might possess, forcing them to maintain a double life, because to be accepted in society many women were engaged to domestic and in some cases work dressed like men to study and participate in the arduous struggle for independence. It is important that the Venezuelan historiography enhance the participation of the female figure through articles, lectures, symposia, forums, among others.
