Nature of the Social Contract by Elites in the Exercise of Power in Colombia

The concept of social contract typical of political modernity refers us to the foundations from which the Colombian political and economic system has historically shaped itself, in accordance with the structuring of a model of excluding society. With the aim of investigating: Revealing the nature of the social contract structured by the political elites in the exercise of power in Colombia, hand in hand with a documentary methodologydeveloped within the framework of the ideational approach, it is concluded that the exhaustion of the historical social contract and its gradual replacement by the country project contemplated in the Political Constitution of 1991, suggests that it is the right moment to generate, from academia, research, debate and reflection processes aimed at designing the bases of a renewed social contract that has as a purpose to raise significantly the levels of quality of life and social welfare of all people.
