Perspectives of public policies at the university level in Colombia

This article focuses its objective on determining from a critical perspective public policies in higher education in the Colombian context, a study supported by authors and legal referents, among which the criteria of Escobar and others (2001), Herrera and others were taken. Infante, (2003) Camargo (2011) Ortiz (2001) as well as the Political Constitution of Colombia (1991), General Education Law (1994), Law 112 (2011) and I Higher Education Policies (2014). Methodologically it was based on a documentary research, likewise, the information instrument used in the study was an observation guide, as a conclusion it can be said that due to the importance of public policies in higher education, contributions will be given that will help the understanding of them, based on the relevance that the administration has had through the different development plans and their articulation with local needs in recent years.
