Abstract

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Metaverse (Meta) in the pedagogical environment in Venezuela presents challenges that must be addressed to make the most of the potential of technologies in the educational field. The following work allows the dissertation of key elements for the provisions that deserve full attention when considering the commitment to incorporate new emerging technologies; such as Artificial Intelligence and the Metaverse, since although its implementation can bring benefits, it is important to take into account the elements that have to do with the need for correspondence of a public policy combined with the adaptability of new educational perspectives; based on investment capabilities in technological infrastructure; Internet access, acquisition of software and technological equipment, design of educational programs in relation to emerging virtual environments, also implementation of a continuous process of updating and academic training with special attention to AI and Meta, likewise; An additional challenge would be to address the ethical and privacy concerns associated with the use of AI and Meta in educational settings. Likewise, some possibilities are presented that could be incorporated understanding the contingency of the Venezuelan context; taking into consideration the creative capacity; ingenuity and co-responsibility that should exist in vulnerable situations in the educational system; In this sense, the maxims would in principle be to achieve technological inclusion at all costs, at all levels and modalities of the national public system, to be able to advance with firm steps to the development of AI and the Metaverse in Venezuela.
