This essay offers an exploration of some concepts developed throughout Pablo Freire’s work. It aims at reflecting on the psychological conditions that were necessary to carry out the European colonization process in Latin American countries. Throughout the text, questions will be posed in order to think about new ways of acting as subjects and collectives belonging to Latin America to achieve emancipation as a region. Finally, emphasis will be placed on the importance of problematizing education and the educational models imported from Europe.Downloads
