Edgar Queipo, from the infinite song of this sun to the change of charm

Abstract

One of our artists who has managed to weave the symbolic and cultural fabric of our collective memory and identity has been Edgar Queipo, by rethinking the archetypal reconstruction of events, characters, narratives to become the visual chronicler of our city-port. The independence feat and its correlates; Manuel Trujillo Durán, the Belgian architect Hoet, Miguel Ángel Jusayú; Plaza Baralt as the epicenter of the nineteenth century polis and the first decades of the twentieth century, constitute the themes that with intensity and freshness from their own inner voice build the board of our deepest and most rooted dreams and desires. A vast and exuberant fresco combines this particular artist where the neo-identities of our collective personality are redefined.
