Popular knowledge: a strategy for strengthening participatory school management at the Bolivarian School of Rural Housing

This article is the product of an investigation carried out at the Bolivarian School “Rural Housing” of the Pampanito Municipality, Trujillo State through a participatory diagnosis that allowed the actors of the educational process to be involved with a view to strengthening school management through participation of the popular knowledge. Participatory action research was assumed based on the model of Kemmis and Mcttagart (1998). To achieve this task, a transformation plan was executed aimed at incorporating the community into pedagogical activities, knowing the living books with the richness of their popular knowledge, promote the reconstruction of reality through orality, the recognition of communities in their memory.
