Art as van educational strategy: a documentary analysis around the challenges of education today

Abstract

Objective: to carry out an analysis of the current situation and challenges of higher education in accordance with socioformation and in accordance with the knowledge society in order to have the basis for the design of educational proposals where artistic practice intervenes. Method: a documentary analysis was carried out supported by five analysis categories related to the current panorama of education. Results: current education points to new forms of teaching that mainly promote human development; the socioformative approach is related to the needs of the knowledge society; and art represents unlimited forms of educational intervention to modify the social fabric. Conclusions: there is a basis for proposing strategies that allow incorporating artistic practices into educational programs from the socioformation.
