Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze the historical perspective of Trujillo during pre-Columbian times. The social structure of cuicas was: a council of elders, then we followed the Tabiskey or Chacoy figure equivalent to the chiefs of other tribes and finally found the Toy that served as a sorcerer and physician. On the economic side had a high production of agricultural products allowing them to barter goods with neighboring tribes. Culturally it was observed that worshiped the natural elements sun, moon and earth. In addition cuicas were the first to create a space for coexistence in this land, but due to the events that afforded him the time, were fused by a machine called acculturation leading them to be a cog in the story is the living essence of trujillan people.
