Abstract

This essay is part of the analysis through the theoretical-documentary approach to publicize the educational contributions of Simón Rodríguez in terms of popular-emancipatory education; understanding that education between the 18th and 19th centuries was intended only for the privileged classes. Simón Rodríguez with his proposal envisioned creating an inclusive and liberating education. These principles served as an example for other contemporary Latin American education theorists, who embraced the idea of a popular education whose correspondence with the century extends, generating an entire educational
revolution, making room for such pressing categories as liberating pedagogy, inclusive education and pedagogy. critical-emancipatory. These contributions become a historical-educational reference to disseminate in the different spaces of
the Venezuelan education system. The purpose of the text is to provide teachers, students and other actors with pedagogical elements to be addressed and discussed in the field of education. Elevating part of a determining historical context represented
in the thought of Simón Rodríguez, becomes part of a historical commitment, contributing to generate an encounter with the struggles and resistances, forming an important part of a reference in the Latin American region.
